Frequently Asked Questions
PSEH Energy Healing
 | What's the difference between a treatment for stress relief, and
treatments for well-being? |
The treatment for stress relief
will focus on bringing about relaxation during that particular
session. The treatments for well being will focus on determining
the cause of the stress (or distress). An consultation and
initial energy treatment will be followed up by a series of energy
treatments with provision of guidance on specific physical, behavioral and
spiritual therapy/exercises that may help prevent energetic
blockages from recurring.
 | What can I expect in a typical treatment for stress
relief for People? |
Your treatment session will begin
with you lying down or sitting comfortably, with or without relaxing
music as desired. The session begins with a light touch to the
clothed recipient with hands placed or hovering in various positions
beginning usually with the head, then moving to front and back of the
torso and also the feet. Hands can also be placed or hover over
areas of pain. Crystals may also be placed in various positions
around or on the client. The head and/or feet may also be gently
massaged to facilitate relaxing to the energy. The treatment is
extremely pleasant and can be soothing, relaxing, and balancing or
centering. Symptoms of stress will lessen or disappear. It
should be noted that the cause of the stress is not addressed during
these sessions.

 | What can I expect in treatments for well-being for
People? |
 | An initial session will begin with
a short consultation to determine the needs of the client, and to
discuss any existing treatments the client has previously or is
currently undergoing. An initial energy treatment will proceed
in a similar fashion to that described above. A
treatment plan which may include other specific physical, behavioral and
spiritual therapy/exercises as well as further energy treatments
will be developed and tailored to suit your individual needs. |
Mindfulness Meditation
 | Why is there a relaxation exercise first - why not just go right to
the meditation? |
- Your mind will not be able to become
quiet if there is stress in the body. If there is a tense or
troublesome spot, your mind will continually be drawn to that spot -
taking away your focus on quieting or calming the mind. You can
indeed meditate when not relaxed (for example those who are dealing
with chronic pain can and indeed are often very successful at
meditating to relieve the pain), but it is easier when first
learning - to be totally relaxed before going into meditation.
-
 | Why is the relaxation part done first lying down and then sitting
up? |
- The relaxation scanning exercise is
most effectively learned when done lying down. However, for
routine meditation practice the best position is the sitting
position. Performing the relaxation scanning first lying down
and immediately followed by the same exercise sitting up is an
excellent way to easily come to learn how to do the scanning while in
the sitting up posture.
-
 | What should I do if I can't get my body to relax no matter whether I
lie down or sit up for the exercise? |
- The first thing to do - is
notice what part(s) of your body will not relax. There may be an
item of concern regarding this part (for example a knee that has been
'acting up' after sports activities). This is a sign that some
attention to this area is needed (perhaps a simple massage is all
that's required), or perhaps even therapy may need to be sought for a
part or area of the body that will not relax.
-
 | Why is it that I can only meditate for 30 seconds before my thoughts
interrupt? |
- This is entirely normal. It is
not an easy thing to tame an untamed mind, much like taming a wild
mustang that has been allowed to roam free all it's life. It is
very much part of the process, to be continually caught up by thoughts
- then realize that you've been caught up by a thought, and then
return once again to focus on your breathing. It may take a
quite a while before you are able to meditate for a few minutes
without being caught up by a thought (and once again, this is
normal). But don't give up - and please don't be frustrated -
you can do it !! Just keep at it. Mindfulness
meditation is very much a disciplined practice.
-
 | What should I do if I notice that I always am thinking about the
same types of things when trying to meditate? |
- This is actually - a blessing in
disguise. You are noticing an area in which you devote a lot of
energy to. Now that you have an awareness of this, it is totally
up to you whether or not you want to be spending your energy thinking
about these types of things.
